Hellola!

Hello friends!

Welcome to my new and improved website! Lots of changes have been happening around  here and I felt like an overhaul to my e-persona was needed.

Please visit The Teaching Artist page for all things related education. I am very passionate about my teaching endeavors and have been spending lots of time and effort to create fun, engaging and effective lesson plans that combine elements of my artistic mastery; percussion with elements of social responsibility.

Please visit my The Artist page for all things about my compositions, live performances and recording projects. I am feeling a renewed interest in composing and performing! new music. I am now in the process of planning what my next band will look and sound alike! Exiting times!

Please visit The Blog page, where I will be writing about my day to day experiences. I realize that I live a blessed life as a Teaching Artist and Musician in NYC, and every single day, I learn new things about the way our world works. Some days, I might learn tricks from a Kindergartner in Coney Island, other days, the spark is lit by an improviser from New Jersey, and most days, I get to learn about life from my close friends and my life partner Erika Kapin, who is a fantastic musician and photographer! Check her photography out here. Check out her music website here

There are also a few more diddies that are being cooked, including starting an email list, booking more gigs and tours for my new band, and working alongside some greatly talented High School students/percussionists from Washington Heights in NYC! We will be rehearsing music and doing lots of community outreach around. Stay tuned!

Thanks so much for visitin’ my new site! If you have any comments and or ideas of things that you’d like to see, please let me know!

Here you can see a picture of a hairdoo that I sported a few years ago! Remember to smile!
